Sorry its kind of a repost but i have more info and really need the help. My #8 under the hood fuse keeps blowing immedietly. It controls my running lights, tail lights, and dash illumination. Im at a loss, i dont know where to look or what to do. Can anyone help me?
Yes that would be correct. IIRC the wire harness that gos to the tail lights runs down the drivers side of the frame and there is a plug back there near the tail lights under the truck. find this plug and unplug it that will isolate the tail lights. some one correct me if I'm wrong.
....find this plug and unplug it that will isolate the tail lights. some one correct me if I'm wrong.
You're correct. I've pulled my bed a couple of times for various projects. There will be a big plug between the spare tire and the bumper. Three plugs actually, if you have the tow package and a dually with fender lights. If the OP disconnects the tail lights and the fuse doesn't blow, he'll have isolated the problem.
Pop's got you covered with the Diagrams, Wow ever when I said too unplug your tail lights I was giving you a place to start and Isolate your tail lights from your problem. Unplug and fuse don't blow problem found, Unplug and fuse still blows time for more searching.
