Today I had an excuse to get under the hood, not that I need an excuse.
Today I got my CCV kit (Clay), and my replacement air intake tube (PartsGuyEd) for the one that broke. I took pics just for fun and because its always fun to look at pictures.
Old intake tube:
New tube (which seems to be made of a better rubber. Perhaps to be resilient to oil residue. Not that there will be any oil anymore):
Routing of the CCV hose You will also notice near the CCV hose there is plastic wire tubing, this is for a back up camera. It is clipped into a factor clip, but in hinsight I wish I had left it because the CCV hose would have fit perfectly, too.
Termination point of the CCV hose (Near the back side of the drivers door:
In the future I may create an oil trap, but for now this will do.
Also, I plugged in the little green thing, I assume youre supposed to because the ccv kit doesnt provide a delete for it. What does this green thing do?
I'm not sure on the green hose. Maybe it's where the air goes from your waste gate after it's used, heck I don't know! Good question. Hope
That boot wasn't to pricy, I could of sent you mine!

Ahh! You should have told me! :P thats ok it was only about $50 shipped, and like I said, its made of a different rubber material so maybe it was worth it??
But it defiantly cleaned up the engine a little because its not oily now.
Speaking of yellow tape, I was a lil disappointed when I got my injectors and turbo it didn't have any yellow tape. Someone had to tell me I had 2 boxes show up when they got there. Maybe clay was just watching out for me! Haha

Clay puts yellow tape on all of the packages he sends out, but with some items they get dropped shipped, that is you order them from him and he tells a distributor (Big warehouse company or mfg) and then they will send it to you instead of Clay. This is usually faster than if he sent every package and is cheaper because Clay doesn't need to stock every single item at RDP, only his custom ones.
Wish I was though. I really wanna pick some brains and see what people got going on. My birthday is the next day too, it would have been a present to me.
