I got contracted to do a 6.0L Amarilo F350. Boy wants the baddest thing in town and has cash. So well I am new to the 6.0 I am use to the 7.3 so I want to know about how hard it is to change the Turbo and Injectors. He plans on having the truck at my place starting the 10th. He did really good at the last pulls bring in 2nd. I figured on a
Now for a custom tune, any suggestions? And how hard is swapping injectors and a turbo? Thats my thing, nevver touched a 6.0 But I assume thats a good list?!?!
Well he doesnt want to do studs. So yeah. I know all that will work together and not cause hell but I never messed with a 6.0 so I wanted to know about how to change injectors (Which I found this SUPERB article)
With the power that truck with be throwing out he is crazy to not put studs on. I predict a quickly blown head gasket. If he has the cash as you say I would talk him into it.
I would do studs or not take the job unless you get him to sign a waiver releasing you of responsibility when the HGs let go. It's not a matter of if but when and I'd say it will be very soon after the mods are done. Otherwise, he might come back at you when they fail blaming it on something you did and it's not just worth the headache.
Well he dont want head bolts, so drop the turbo size and injectors down? Or are head studs all that hard cause I don want to take the heads off. SO I assume like the 7.3 replace them one at a time?
Without doing headstuds he's going to blow his HG's with just a mild tune
You came here seeking advice about the 6.0. Now do yourself and your client a favor and install arp studs. Also you could save 2k and use a garret powermax instead of the aurora Turbo. That alone should be the cost of arps and gaskets.

Well put!
The powermax is $1,500-$1,200. Many use it and love it. It would be better IMO to do the PM, 190cc from caserly, airdog fuel pump, arp head studs, stock head gaskets, and tuning, S&B intake and 4" turbo back.
