lockable glove box

lockable glove box
ok my current glove box does not lock, so i want to know is there a way to install a lock on it (inshort of rednecking it) or get one that matches my interior that has a lock built in??

My 95 F150 XLT has a locking glove box. The key lock is off the right of the pull open lever My one and only key for the truck is an ignition key it does not fit the glove box. Probably a Ford trunk key would fit. If that little circle to the right is there, any locksmith should be able to make a key for it. Easier for the locksmith if you take the glove box door in, but he should be able to it right on the truck.

well I would rather have one that matches my interior exact and ive been searchin yards for a while now and no luck, closest i found was a red one but i dont want a red interior, that would mean swapping every thing, not ready for that yet...and red wouldnt look right honestly...

Get a normal lock, like for a toolbox with the arm on the inside that swings a 1/4 turn. Drill a hole in the glove box, then notch out the bottom of the dash for it to swing into. I don't know for sure if this will work, just an idea.
