SEAT OPTIONS
Thanks Todd.
Thank you! Todd.
I saw the seats at my local pyp, and they are very comfy. They are a pretty wide bucket seat so I feel I can really stretch out inside my truck. The only problem with them is I will have to make my own brackets.
Also have you considered moving the fuel tank to under the bed? It will give you some more room for a center counsel, and for stuff behind the seats. My 66 has it behind the seat, but my dent had it under the bed. So I don't know when in the bump era they made the full switch.

Thanks BWB!!! This is exactly what I need. Now, hopefully I can find a seat that looks as good as that in black, beige or green!

I bought that truck FOR $500 back in 1986 In Tacoma WA. and trailered it all the way back to CT. I loved that truck! Best $500 bucks I ever spent!!
In 91' I bought and rebuilt a 390 for it and replaced the I6 300. Great engine, just tired. That was the only major thing I did. The body was very straight and mechanically she was a peach. I still miss her. Can you tell????
I got lucky with my 72 F250 CS/SC( not as lucky as my 65 though ) . It is from Sparks Nevada which translates into virtually no rust. The frame looks better than most 2005's around here. It has a 428 and is very sound in all aspects.
I want to basically keep her road worthy and protected as much as possible. A restoration is not in the cards right now. I'm hoping that maybe my son can do that with his son/daughter when the time comes.
What I'm going to focus on is rust abatement, interior, engine compartment, and drive train. And of course maintenance. If you go into the Gallery and type in 1972 F250 you can see my truck ( page 7 I believe bottom ). The pictures are from when it was in Sparks, Nevada and the owner was Alan Gross. It still is that terrible turd brown.
I want to do a two tone with Hunter green upper, Wimbeldon white lower and cab roof. If it is economical I am going to have the center of the rims powder coated in Hunter green.
I want to do the interior in Hunter green/black but I will go with beige/tan if I find a cherry seat in that color. Beige seems to be a popular color for later model interior?
I plan on totally changing the instrument panel. I never cared for the post 65/66 instrument set ups with the big sweeping arm and idiot gauges. I'm going to put in a large circular speedo w/ smaller circular gauges for tach, temp, amps, oil press, trans temp.
I also want to find a 67 grill ( complete ) There's something about the 72' grill which scream incomplete! You know, how the signal lights look like an after thought?.
If the truck was all original I probably wouldn't change these things.
