I have a 2001 F150 Screw 4x4 Lariat 5.4. The 4R70W tranny housing and extension/adaptor both split apart where they are coupled. I am trying to replace it myself in the driveway. Drive shafts and transfer are out. Question is do I have to remove the cross section of exhaust to get it out or is there enough wiggle room? If I do have to move the exhaust, whats the easiest way?
