Hissing

I have a 1986 F-150 with a 5.0 FI and an AOD tranny. I hear a hissing noise from under the dash when I apply the brakes. Can anyone give me some idea of what to look for? I appreciate any help I can get. Thank You in advance.

i am no pro , and i could be wrong . i would look for a vacum leak somewhere , check around intake / brake booster . and make sure they are intact ,

It's probably the brake booster going bad. You can swap in a later, thinner unit without even opening the hydraulic system.
