It wouldn't hurt to check the lube level, or even change it. If it uses ATF, it may be worn out, and the friction modifiers gone. If you cannot get it from neutral to any driven gear without a struggle, it may be the slave cylinder isn't releasing the clutch completely. But I can't figure out why that would be temperature dependent.

I've also seen advise to bleed the system. Any thoughts on this? A little more information, it never does it until the truck is warmed up significantly, say 30 minutes or more of driving. Down shifting isn't as affected as up shifting.

Give it a test. If the slave cylinder is not responding by releasing the clutch when you press the pedal, you could try pumping the pedal a few times much like you can pump the brake pedal to see if it affects shifting ease.
