Well, I'm new and I've never had a Ford; til yesterday! I picked up a new 350 6.7 King Ranch in Oklahoma. Nicest truck I've ever had. I've always had Dodges and finally couldn't stand the seats and interior any longer. I'm nervous about the Ford, but I already love the mileage. The 200 miles home saw 19+ on the interstate. The interior is by far the nicest I've seen. We'll see how it all shakes out, the first impression is very satisfying.

Congratulations and another "Welcome" to the best site around for information on your new truck.
The key to easing your nervousness is to realize that 90% of the nonsense posted on other sites about Ford diesels is posted by guys who do not own a Ford. Yes,there have been some problems with the Navistar powered trucks but it has been blown out of any semblance of proportion. If you look around this forum you will find very few owners that have had any issues. There are over 250,000 of these trucks running around the countryside piling up over a billion and a half miles of nothing but smiles.
There have been only a couple of small in number issues in the 15 months the new truck has been available. The repair procedures have been released and most of the few trucks affected are now fine. The best advice I can give is find a dealer that knows Ford diesels to service your truck when necessary. Poor dealership service departments have done more damage to any of the HD brand trucks than the trucks have done for themselves. It was made very apparent here with the way some dealers handled their customers complaints in regards to the erratic trans shifts or the DEF/NOX sensor Check Engine Light)CEL).
Thanx, Ive never had a truck this nice. I don't know how to post photos or I would stick a pic on here. It's cool! When we left the dealership my 13 year old son asked if I had started the truck yet it's sure quieter than our Dodge!
Congrats on the new truck. My last truck was 05 duramax which I thought was a great truck. Didn't take more than a couple of miles to fall in love with this truck. Very happy so far with the purchase.
