Going to start rebuilding my Holley 750 today.
While the parts are soaking I'll start checking the accessory mounting.
I should rip apart my NP 205 but that will prolly take to much time with all I have to do plus solid work till the 18th. So I think I'll take it to a local shop and have it done. When I get it back I still have to install the dual stick setup.
Oh crap! Have to order a 6AL box from Summit.
Lots to do, woohoo.
Woo!!! You've got a lot of work ahead of you, better get crackin'!!! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that I want to see this beast in the truck running!

Came in to make a Summit order, then back out to the garage.

Well nothing is ever easy.
Could be done with the carb but busted some butterfly screws. That's easy.
The one that sucks is the accessory drive brackets.
I have 2 that the holes don't line up in.
Sent an email off and I'll call Monday but at a standstill now.
Obviously going to have to move the coil but that's what mock up is for.
Pics below.
Also thinking of anodizing the pulleys and brackets black or blue. Opinions?????

Shades of CVF Racing's brackets

.. I highly recommend test fitting your water pump pulley cuz if it is 7.25 inches in diameter it's gonna hit the PS bracket. ...Ask me how I know.

EDIT: Oh.. nevermind... I see ya stepped up and got their pulleys too.

If I didn't know otherwise I would say leave the pulley color alone but the pretty finish does not stay that way for long(in the real world).

I vote blue. Brackets look awesome by the way.

I hear you.
Since I run this truck every day I won't be polishing much.
That's why I was thinking color them.

I'd vote for black, I think it would help accentuate the black valve covers....

Blue would get lost in with the blue of the engine block/heads and appear too monochromatic, jmo.

However they do go with the manifold just like they are.

How great are fall Saturdays.
Work on truck, when done, football and other things.
Hold it.........that gives me a new idea for a thread.

Personally, I'd leave them as they are, but if you're determined to go either black or blue..... I'd go black.

Sure is cheaper that way.
Heck this reminds me of trying to pick rims and tires.

How about using Duplicolor's "Shadow Chrome"? It's pretty much candy black (plus a clear coat) and tones down the blinginess.

Your new thread reminds me of The Infinite Cat Project

If you like the finish but are afraid of corrosion or staining you could clear anodize them, but if you want a color change I vote black. With the block and heads blue, that's too much blue.
But it's your truck, do what YOU want.
