converter question

I just had my c6 transmission rebuilt. I had my torque converter rebuilt at rushmore transmission in Fort Wayne indiana. I had them rebuilt it to a 2000 rpm stahl speed. anyways I got the truck all back together. If I put the truck in drive and leave it idle it will still go like it did before. not quite as much but it wasn't what I was expecting from a 2000rpm stahl? is this right or did I get ripped?

converter question

No, you didn't get ripped off. Stall speed is dependant on engine torque, for example, a convertor with a 3000 stall might stall at 2000 rpm behind a stock small block but that same convertor might stall as high as 5000 behind a 800hp big block. Another thing to consider is how a convertor actually works, the 2000 stall speed really means that the convertor doesn't fully engage till it hits around 2000rpm, it will still engage before that but not fully. That is why your truck still moves at idle, if you don't have a tach to read rpm's you may not feel much of a difference. I hope this info helps.
