...next month we are going camping with the inlaws in Williams.....im crossing my fingers it goes well. We tend to but heads a lot on EVERYTHING
LOL. I used to butt heads with my former son-in-law all the time. That's not the reason he's my former son-in-law now, but it proved me right in the long run.
There are campgrounds that have a lakeview near Wahweap marina by Page, AZ. Actual lakefront camping at least in the lower half of the lake is on a beach called Lone Rock. It is a gigantic beach filled with sand that is over 1 mile long! It's only 10-15 minute drive from Page Arizona. Hanging to the left side of the beach as you roll in, you'll have no problem with a huge 5th wheel. Don't veer to far to the right side because the sand gets deep quick. Here is a great website with lots of Lake Powell info Welcome to Lake Powell Fishing Information
THANKS TRAVIS FOR THE INFO

Wanted to drop in on the ratrod party at Dave's but it just wasn't in the cards. Maybe next time.
Another vote for Lake Powell. Great scenery. You can rent a houseboat if you want a different view of things. Just about anywhere in northern AZ is a good place to get away from the summer desert heat.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE INFORMATION AND THE HOUSE BOAT THING DOES NOT SOUND TOO BAD EITHER.
NOW I GOTTA CONVINCE THE BETTER HALF. MUCH APPRECIATED
