Lots of sandbagging going on around here, but they've about finished. We don't have any water at home, and so far my office is in the clear. Our headquarters building is on standby to evacuate, but looks like it will be fine as long as the levees hold. The raised the output to 150,000 CFS the other day, and it will remain that way until at least August.
They've got I-29 shut down going south at Missouri Valley, and they say it will shut down just south of Sioux City sooner or later. No quick trips to Omaha for us!
Yeah, same here with the sandbagging. They closed I-680 coming into Omaha from I-29, and they'll probably close Hwy. 30 between Blair and Mo valley here anytime.
It's funny, the river boat casino in downtown Sioux City is still open, but the ramp onto the boat is really at a steep angle now since the water is so high. All the old farts are grumbling that they have to walk uphill to get on the boat. lol
Yea the timing kind of sucks since I just spent $ on the engine, but at least it went before the weather warmed up enough to play outside. Think it picked a good time to vacation in the shop for a week...
