EGR insufficient flow

'01 Lincoln Cont. 4.6L 32 Valve With 180,000 miles.

Trying to diagnose this. The check engine light is on. Can anyone tell me if I can actually check the flow with the Auto Enginuity? I have tried and do not see a place to get this info. I do see a place to check the MIL Driver. It shows an error with the #1 shown in red.

Now I have replaced the EGR, cleaned the passages, replaced the Vac. solenoid, DPIF sensor and checked the hoses with out remedy. I am thinking I have problem with the ECM.

Anybody have any input?

Would appreciate any and all ideas.

I can't believe no one has any experience with this. Gotta be someone.

insufficient EGR flow

i assume you have p401 code? When you replaced the DPFE sensor, did you replace it with a Motorcraft brand DPFE sensor?

Yep, it's usually a bad sensor.

I know I am a little late but I am wondering the same thing. I didn't use Motorcraft part either on my 3.8L and I still have the code. I haven't cleaned my ports nor changed my egr yet, but sick of throwing parts or guesses at this P401 code that goes for over 1 million items. THANKS FORD!

I finally gave up onit and took it to a real mechanic(wink, wink). He found a melted vacumn line on the backside of the engine had come in contact with the exhaust header pipe. Auto zone did give me my money back on the DPFE.
