95 F150 Trans
My 95 Ford f150 has something wrong with its transmision or its transfercase or driveshaft. Im not a really big gearhead and i need some help.
When you drive this truck over 55mph it wants to shift from 3rd gear to 4th but when it shifts it slipps the gear and doesnt go in to 4th. it slips for like 3 mins then it kicks or jerks really hard in the rearend. then contines to slip if you dont reduce your speed.
I took it to firestone to have them look at the trans and they changed the tranny fluid but didnt change the filter. and it still slips when you go over 55. Would not changeing the filter make the truck do that ?
the truck only has around 75 thosand so i dont think i need a new tranny.
But does anyone know what could be wrong?
Or if i could fix it ?

First off you need to run the EEC Self-Test and see if you have any codes stored in the computer.
