Well... Going to work at 5:30 yesterday, going up the interstate I started smelling Diesel, didn't think much about it a Rig just passed me thought maybe it was him. Got to the off ramp about a mile later and noticed a trail behind my truck. Got to work and my truck was leaking Diesel hardcore. Shut her off in the parking lot and a 2' puddle formed under my truck. Couldn't locate what was going on since it was still dark, but fuel was flooding the Valley. Dad came and looked and we found out it seemed the weep-hole cracked on the Filter Housing and was shooting a jet of diesel out of it! He got it changed while I was working my 10hr shift. Walked out and it fired right up, no leaks.
Went to engage the clutch and I heard a POP. Doesn't do it when pushed in, It does it everytime right when the pedal lets out. The clutch will engage fine and no slippage but it makes a audible pop. Pressure plate maybe? Fingers gone bad? What do ya'll think is going on?
Yeah I do believe, a friend of mine said this happened to his truck he said it'd be alright if I could stand the popin'. Im not sure what kinda clutch is in it, im sure something close a stock one. I pulled the dust cover off and diesel ran out of it, also stuck a dental mirror in there making sure no fingers were missing lol, but didn't see a lick of grease in there. Clutch engages and lets out just fine though. Think theres any way I can get a grease line up in there and do it? That was my Dad's idea, he's a good mechanic but just kinda blowing it off right now...
How long is too long? lol I don't wana push it and risk ruining it, but it's my DD so i gota do something... probly couldn't even attempt it till Wednesday. I don't have a very long commute during the day, bout 10 miles to school and work and back...
