For a MAF conversion you need the injector and MAF wiring for these devices all the way back to the EEC, and it's much easier to do the work with the harness spread out on the garage floor than in an engine bay, so I say grab the whole harness and disect it at home.
So just to be clear, it doesn't help you at all if you just take the engine harness from the block connectors out to the engine, you need all of it right back to the EEC and some cutting will be necessary to get this since that rear portion of the engine harness is wired in with the chassis harness.
The 5.0 computer will work with the 5.8 , but if you are doing other mods to the motor , then you need a good computer tune , if you have a computer controlled trans then it needs to match what you have....Lew
