Steering

Hello,

A 2001 Ranger 2.3 liter 5 speed 173k miles

I was told I need to have front end aligned and wheels balances. The steering wheel does not shake but the steering does have a feel to it as I can feel the road. Not sure if I am describing it right. Will an alignment and balance make the steering feel "smoother"?

Thanks

I think i know what your saying you basicly just feel the road through you steering wheel. Its like that in all slightly older trucks, The only ones that youd feel nothing is ether in a nice high end car or in one of them new fancy trucks.. But if you dont feel the truck pull to one way or feel a wabble in the steering then your fine, them alignment guys will always try to convince you that you need a alignment or every time you hit a big bump youll need one as well and truth is iv never had my tire balanced and they go down the free way just fine they just shimmy a little bit and iv hit bumps so hard my dam truck gone air born plenty or times and it drives down the road just fine, dosnt pull dosnt shimmy. But you know it is a Ford
