I used Minwax all weather clear, got it at Home Depot.

I need to re-do the bed on my truck also. Does anyone know if there is a router blade that works for the bevel of the bed wood? I have limited space to work and had to give up my table saw.

I used table saw with dato and hand jointer on outer edge
I think that router would work

Nice job on the bed installation ws678ta! They also sell spar urethane over there and that's what I'm going to use. Good idea to use a nice plywood because it's very strong. The stain color coordinates well with your trucks paint color. Doesn't look like plywood to me but has all the strength and durability of plywood which is substantial.

My plywood bed is old and still in perfect condition. It's a solid sheet, but with the stainless strips it looks like it could be individual boards. It has survived heavy equipment dumping overloads of rocks and dirt into the bed, no problem. I would not fix what's not broken if I did not want to do the bed upgrade. I have neither finished nor installed my Ash boards. I'm using my truck all the time so I'm reluctant to disable it to start the project; been too busy lately.

My straight six exhaust became detached at the header flange. I want to get that fixed first and put a new tip on, so I have an exhaust job to do. I have a set of headers and I was also thinking about putting those on.
