So on our one year anniversary she got a day of beauty! Wash, claybar, Wolfgang paint sealant then some Meguiars Gold Class carnauba massaged on her body. Her feet got a Meguiars pedi and some polish and some gentle massaging on the dash and door panels then cleaned the windows. Hope she appreciates 5+ hrs of hard work
Looks great Tim. I need to do the same with mine. Maybe after we move into the new house. Did you tint the front windows? If so, what percent?
Yes I got that done last summer, 20%. As I'm getting older ( 43) I don't see out the side mirrors as well as I used to in the dark, mostly backing out of the garage, but thats easily remedied by putting the window down It matches the back tint well, I was going to do 35% but my buddy Jeff got his done first, 20%, and talked me into it. So far I haven't had any problems with the popo either, and it just passed inspection so I guess its all good. I'm very happy it turned out so nice, but now the wife wants me to do her X5. I told her I could but it would cost her... Chandler- yes, I live off a side road in the woods, and now everything has gotten green you can't see the road from the house. Seclusion is nice!
Thanks guys! I had never used a claybar before, but it needed it. I was surprised that it was that easy. I really figured it would be more difficult, but it probably only took me 30+ min to do the whole truck. Well worth it because now the paint is smooth as glass. Now I don't want to drive it anywhere so it stays clean!
Looks great..so great in fact I wouldnt want to drive it to get it dirty lol
I'm with you there, unfortunately it has to get me to work. Even after sitting on a dusty jobsite for the last 4 days and being lightly coated with dust it still gleams from 50 feet away
That's what it looked like to me if I had to guess. I'm on the fence if I want to get mine done or not. I haven't had a full vehicle tinted since I owned my Toyota mini truck in high school. It was lowered, ground effects, low profile tires, the whole deal. Ah, those were the days. Anyhow, seeing yours may make me get them now.
