brake problems

I just bought an 83 f150. I started driving it and when it gets hot all the brakes lock up and will not release. After it cools down the brakes work fine until it heats up again.does anyone have any ideas

Is it just the front or the rear? Try replacing the calipers; they may be old and rusted which can cause that to happen.

Crack the bleeders loose and see if it releases. If so your master cyl pushrod may be too long. Have you done anything with the brakes lately? To test the long pushrod theory, when the brakes are locked, loosen the 2 bolts that hold the master cyl to the booster to let them seperate 1/4" or so.

thanks ill try that i have not done anything to the brakes yet the truck has been sitting for 2 yrs . its wierd it only happens when the enginge gets hot
