On my 2001 E350 Superduty. My intake box that sits on top of my engine exploded. Not the one out front with the filters. Point being, some plastic got sucked into the turbo and chipped the teeth off. As most of us know they never mention or say "also fits van" when buying turbo parts. My turbo is the Garrett with the 1.0 a/r. Now when I am checking out the impellers online. Most of them don't say if they are for a .88, 1.0 or 1.15 so does that mean they are all the same? Is there a benefit to a wicked wheel? Does anyone know if the 1.0 van impeller is the same as the 1.0 truck impeller? Thanks

3.5 exhaust system with no cat and no muffler. fyi, its almost as quiet as with the muffler.
while i know the van and truck turbos are slightly different in the wastegate area you are kinda mixing things up a little. the .88 - 1.00 - 1.15 number you are referring to are the exhaust side of the turbo. the compressor side (impeller) I THINK is the same size. izzy and a few others run van turbos so they can confirm this for you. a wicked wheel would be a good fix for your compressor wheel if it is all chewed up.......
Call Clay and just get a rebuild kit. If you sucked up something large enough to chip teeth while the engine was running, then the balance is likely shot and there is other internal damage which will show up soon. He should be able to get you a rebuild kit so you only have to fix it once.
What Chris said X2.. The "bearing" really is a bronze sleeve with oil passages for the shaft to float on while oil pressure is present. Imagine what the inside of your bronze sleeve looks like now that a steel shaft, spinning at mach Jesus, slammed into the side of it with enough force to rip teeth of the compressor!
