It 9 or 10 in rear end.it was a 4x4 but I turned it into a 2wd. I know it sounds dum.but the guy I got the truck from didn't take care of the running gear. I put a 1986 mustang gt 5.0 ho motor in it.and the stock gears just seem like its holding it back.

I assure you, that unless somone went through a LOT of hassle, that your truck isn't a 9", or a Sterling 10.25" axle....
It's a 8.8".....And a new set of gears will run you approx. $150...
