Starting issues?
Hey guys,
I just bought my old man's 2002 merc mountaineer, and I have done quite a bit of tlc (fuel filter, plugs, coil wire, radiator flush, transmission flush, oil plan gasket/filter/change, air filter, starter tested, alternator tested) ,but the one thing that gets me is this starting issue.
I replaced the coil with the accel performance one, iridium plugs, and performance wires. And it has been starting great for the last week, but then the starting issue came back.
Completely intermittent.
Weather does not make difference.
_cranks, but doesnt start, turns a 2nd time and she fires up.
Have read online about sensors, but as yet nothing consistant as to which sensor.
