Hey there everyone. Im Garrett I just picked up an awsome 1974 ford F-100 shortbed 4x4, 4speed granny low 360 v8. Wow first of all I worked hard just to get this truck. Here is the story. I just moved to big bear CA. I was on my way over to my friends house and I look towards the right and I saw this truck. A month after me driving by back and forth looking at the truck I finally got the guts to come to stop by and look at it and talk to the owner. I was compelled to ask if they were interested in selling the truck. I offered them to see if they wanted to trade my1988 ford ranger 4 x 4 for there truck. finally after 6 months of bugging them they finally said that they would do the trade. the truck has been sitting for about 2 years. so before I was able to drive it away I had to change the oil do the general maintenance check up. finally I was able to get it running an able to drive it home. I change all the fluids and plugs wires cap and rotor. set the timing then put a new battery in. I also checked see folders that the lady gave to me with all the paperwork. it has paperwork dated back from 1974 everything that has been done to it. and now I just can't believe that I own this truck. I have spent months upon months looking through this website and it is fantastic. I have learned so much just browsing all the forms. I hope that you enjoyed my little somewhat short story thank you.

 

Welcome (officially) to FTE! I've got a 73/74 shortbed 4x4 (Pretty sure the bed and frame are 74 but the cab is a 73 2WD.

Anyhow, congrats on your ownership! Your rig sounds like a winner with documentation all. I gotta ask.....power steering or strong arm?

It has power steering and power breaks and im still trying to figure out how to make my pictures smaller so I can post them. A little pic is in my avatar.

Sounds like a good deal on a 1 owner truck.
You can open your pics in paint and then resize them to anything 800x600 pixels or less. There are free online sites that can do multiple pics at a time as well.

Here's How to Post Pictures:
1. Login to FTE.
2.Click User CP (In the Top Left Hand Corner)
3.(On the Left, There will be a list, The 5th Option Down, will say "Pictures & Albums) Click That.
4.Then, Click Add Album, Enter a title, and description, if ya want to.
5. Click Upload Pictures, Then click Browse, Locate the Files of your truck. (You can add 3 files at a time)
5. Click Upload.
6. Add a description to the individual pictures, then click save.
7. Add more files if ya want.
8. Click The Picture you want to post, it will give you two codes at the bottom, Right Click The Second one (It say's BB Code, Then Say's [IMG]http:blahblahblah...[/IMG])
Then, Once that is highlighted, Right Click, Then Copy, Then Paste it into your post.
You can add up to 30 Images in one FTE Post.
