My 66 custom cab didn't have any horns so I got one out of a 66 that works but when I put it in it don't work the truck is wired for two do I have to have two to get it to work or could it be something else fuse is good
The problem prolly has nothing to do with the horn itself.
1961/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100/4WD / 1967/70 F100/350: Remove the horn ring (or button), look at the steering wheel. There is a hole in it where the horn brush and insulator is hand pressed in.
The brush has a thin copper wire that breaks...when this occurs, the horn won't blow.
And, if the steering wheel is removed and tilted slightly, the brush will fall out, so the brush may be MIA.
These trucks have a horn relay mounted on the right fender inner apron. It might be defective, but first, I'd check the brush.
