Oh, ok. Just curious, what did the shop charge you to bend up the pipes?
10.0 ft of 2 inch pipe has 126 cubic inches of air.
10.0 ft of 2.5 inch pipe has 196 cubic inches of air.
10.0 ft of 3 inch pipe has 283 cubic inches of air.
So........ my intercooler is only 1040+126 of 2 inch pipe=1166 cu inches of volume to fill. Your intercooler is 1400+126 of 2 inch pipe=1526 cu. inches of volume to fill. So even if I did 3 inch I would still have less volume to fill then you. I might just go 2.5.
I have all 3 inch, works fine, If not making boost there are some issues, I found just a tiny leak on either side of the turbo makes a HUGE reduction in boost.
I plumbed mine with a 6.0 pipe cut and rolled on one side and a dodge pipe on the other, the other good option is to get an ebay tubing kit. Well worth the cost.
Pics are over on OB.
Oh and the hood brace goes as well as 1 inch of the grill backside.

Thanks, I am doing a ebay kit or exhaust shop - whatever is cheaper. You think doing 2.5 will restrict flow? 3 might get tight in some areas, although doable.
How much did you turn up your IP, difference in power??
Ok, now the intercooler is really in, at least sitting there ready to be mounted. Ok, crappy cuts, I know. Thats what I get for using a sawsall. My 1 inch tranny cooler is behind it, had to fab up a bracket for that, I'll get pics of that later. I'm gonna weld some bracket up to hang it on.....stay tuned!
and dont get in a fight with a deer...or whatever animals you have in NY, that would not be good to be picking out deer antler from your intercooler while its pissin oil all over the place...
Thanks, I can't imagine what it would be like to put a bigger one in like yours.

Yeah, I don't plan on hitting any. Only oil in the intercooler but I sure wouldn't want a antler through it.
Will the tranny cooler get enough air? Maybe you could invest in one of those coolers that sit under the radiator between the frame rails. That way te tranny cooler gets plenty of air and the intercoer is moved inward an inch or 3/4 of and inch and that will give you some breathing space. That's my two cents. Good looking truck.
