I'm looking at a Edelbrock 21811 intake manifold. At Summit it says it will work for the 78. But when I look at Edelbrock's site and at JEGS and it says it won't work.
Hey There, I would go to the Edlebrock site to figure out what you need. Since they manufacture the product, in my opinion, they would be the best source for fittment.
Since the 21811 is for a 351 and you say it's a 78, when I looked at the Edlebrock site, it looks like you could go:
Ford 351 Windsor V8
PERFORMER 351W EGR (idle-5500 rpm)
Designed for street Ford 351-Windsors with EGR.
ys, seriously call Edelbrock! I actually ordered pistons for my 351W rebuild from Summit. The web site said +6.5 for piston top volume when it was actually +16. Just changing that number alone took me from a 9.7:1 compression ratio to 8.8:1. Point being, you want to be 100% sure and go to the source
I do look on the manufacturer's website. Then I go to Google Shopping to see which place has the lowest price. They extra 1 on the end is for polish finish.
