i went to a local dealer (there preety small and kinda new) saw a 94 ford ranger splash 4x4 v-6 4.0 super cab with 140k on it. i think the prev. owner jack knifed a trailer cause bumber is smashed on one side and hitch is bent and the tail gate is kinda dinged not 2 bad (was going to put air gate on anyway) my friend has a hoist and we jacked it up... it needs a new head gascet (speeling), new break line on driver front (it split open and just ran down, fluid in the wheel well), new bushings (break fluid ran over the ones in driver right so will just replace all) will need new shocks (if you bounce the front it wines, the shock is rubbing on the inside). the tires are in good condition but it doesnt come with a spare. it has running boards (the crome tubes). forgot to check the u-joints when we lifted it. i was just wondering what the truck is worth the way it is. i live in south dakota if that changes anything, he said he would take 4200 for it.
tried to put everything i know if more questions please ask will try to answer so you can be more accerate.

I got a 94 XLT S-cab 4x4 new, and I love to keep tabs on what it's worth by looking in the paper and kbb.com. I say you're dealer is insulting you by even daring to get that much out of that rig considering what it needs! The 2 biggest strikes against it, considering what he's asking, are the body damage and the head gasket. But, after considering what all is wrong with the rig, do ya really feel it's been reasonably well maintained? And legally, I don't think he can sell it to ya with bad brakes.
Mine's fully loaded minus auto trans/captains chairs/opening rear side windows/CD player and has 151,000m on it. Everything on it works and it has no body damage and needs no mechanical repairs (drive it anywhere right now). If I were to sell mine today (private party, not a trade) I'd expect about $5500-$6250 in the eastern WA state area.
