wiring
The yoyo that had it before me cut the connectors out of the harness for the throttle positioner and did not get it spliced back in right. The positioner is after market so the wire colors do not match up. I need to know what colors are in what position on the harness side of the connection.
Thanks
Your wiring diagram should tell you what the color of the wires are. Also a good service manual should have diagrams of the correct wiring of the TPS. Some manuals have the connectors listed by number and in the back of the book is an index showing the connector and what wires are where.
Here is the info for a 1990 I6 EFI ----- there are three wires.
1. o/w orange and white
2. bk/w black and white
3. dg/lg Dark Green/ Lignt green
The tps is basically a potentiometer like a volume control on a radio. The wires are looking at the rear of the TPS plug, plug in place, are from the top down
Top------ O/W
Center---DG/LG
Bottom---BL/W
stractor
Also called an Idle Actuator. It's a small elec. motor that turns a jack screw to regulate the throttle plate.
This is a California modle with a single barrel feedback carb.
Yick. wish it was legal to trash it. But I'm kinda stuck with it for now.
Thanks for the info..
