last twister we had here that did any damage was around 20 years ago. we get a little funnel cloud every now and then, but they don't do anything more than knock over garbage cans.
we get quakes all the time, but people rarely notice them, or they think it is a large semi truck driving by on the highway.
i think the last big one we had here was back in 94-95.
well, not BIG big, but enough to shake the house and wake us up at 2 am.
i thought a car missed the turn out front and hit the foundation.
till i woke completely and realized what was going on.

were talkin east coast vs west coast. ive seen twisters on the news tons of times. flooding like crazy too.

What you calling east coast??? That is middle of the country stuff....
I was thinking shift tube too, when I saw it. The handle with the push button is what gave it away for me.
