Need code advice, 2006 F150 4.6L
I have a 2006 F150 XLT 4.6L automatic. Bought the truck used l year ago. 3 months ago started giving me start problems, have to turn it over several times. Then it will start with zero issues for a dozen or so times before it gives me start problems again. The engine light came on two weeks ago for a day or two then goes off. When it came back on last week I pulled into a local garage, they ran a code check. Code P0605: ICM Rom error AND code P0316: missfire on startup, showed during code check. Mechanic stated that he ran a diagnostic and all cylinders fired normally with no issues showing on diagnostic check. He suggested reflashing the computer. Has anyone ran into this issue? If so, what did you do to correct. All suggestions are welcome.
