My brother bought a 96 7.3 psd with 316k on it well he put an edge programer on it dont know wat kinda edge it is. But anyways the truck ran fine before the edge was put on and while is was on but they took it of and now the truck wont start. Its getting fuel, no smoke comes out the exhaust when cranking. What could be the problem. I live 700 mile away so I cant do any diagnosing in person. I thought maybe the edge fried the ecm is that possible? Thanks any ideas appreciated
I figured it was either the ecm or the pcm. were is a good place to get the pcm re-flashed?
had the same thing happen... have him call the number on the back of the edge... they will send him a programer with the stock settings to reset his truck and a new programer... have him use the programer with stock settings to get it stock than send that one and old prgramer back..... than the new programer they send...... throw it a way or put it on ebay and get a chip!!!!!!!!
