Still can't seem to get lower than 20mpg on this thing, no matter how i drive her. That includes lots of idle time too as i started and let it warm up (get of high idle) everyday until i got temp plates. crazy...

I believe it! It will tank at that point. Maybe i can stop chirping the tires when i step on it and put the power to use! Funny story i stepped on it at a light with my gf in the truck, after she was like make this light and chirped the tires. I scared her. I never though an idi could scare someone but it was awesome. No replacement for displacement as the saying goes.
I've squealed the tires a couple times haha, always fun. When I was home on leave I walked in on fiance and anotehr guy(Bad idea) and when i left i did a burnout, only a few feet cause they are 4.10's, felt good...wont do it again though. My dad did a burnout with the 86 C6 haha that was cool cause it had studded tires on the rear end.
Ya i love mine too! How do you deal with the warped axle? @Aune163rd, it may not have been a bad thing to find that. Better then be stuck in a dead end and wasting your time. I did a burn out in the 91 with studded tires. Studded tires do rock in the snow. @Fordf250hdxlt it is the 1990 in my sig. My other trucks are works in progress.
How do you tell if you have axle wrap. not to educated on this. So i took the truck out for lunch, had to bring my friend to his doctors. Anyways was stuck behind a short bus so i turned off onto a side street, a hill, and i gunned it onto the rev limiter. Does that thing sound nice! Tons of power too. Don't like doing that too much though, not here to beat the crap out of my idi. Anyway going to the local exhaust shop tomorrow and then off to get emissions tested. Next monday or this weekend i'm going to get real plates for it, and next week change the coolant and oil.
