F1 makeover

Maybe we could make this into a reality TV show. F1 Makeovers! I picked my cab up yesterday. As it turns out, Ilya (aka 51 Panelman) set up a deal for me. A bodyshop owner in San Jose needed some F2 bed parts, so Ilya facilitated a trade of some body work in trade for the F2 parts that I had laying around. The trade was a repairable F2 bed (and other parts) for fixing the bullet holes and cleaning up the roof and hood of my truck. He took a little longer than planned, so he did a little extra....Ilya's friend does good work! Here's the before and after:

Before:

After:

and another "After":

I ever got it home in one piece:

Whoo hoo.....progress!!!

That's nice - I need to get some friends like that!!!
What did you do with the cat?
That's a nice looking cab - you don't see that dark green color too often.

Thanks!

That was Gomer the cat. He was the coolest cat ever, but he wandered off one day & didn't return. He was a little slow, so I'm betting that a coyote got him. He used to keep an eye on things from the back window of the truck.

So, now the cab looks better than the rest of the truck.

This reminds me that I need to stop by the body shop to see how the progress is on the F2 that the guy is restoring for a customer and also see if he needs any help with putting the truck back.

Dan, I'll call you in the next few days as well.

I love that color, very good choice. It's very close to the original of my 49. Do you mind if I ask what color that is?

The color is "Rock Moss Green".

It is a single stage acryllic urethane paint from tcp global on ebay.
