Trailer hitch reciever interchangablilty?
Does anyone know if a trailer hitch reciever from a 1974 f100 supercab lwb 2wd will bolt up to a 1985 f150 2wd? I have the hitch on the 74 but it doesn't drive and didn't want to go through the work if it won't fit.

I believe the frame rails are closer together on the 74 than on the 85. Measure the distance between the rails on both trucks. If different, then it won't work. If they are the same distance apart, then it could be made to fit.
