Hood Liner

i saw this topic in the diesel stop about a hood liner for my truck. I think this comes from the 6.2 gas motor. Anybody know why Ford did not include a liner on the 6.7? I'm thinking of buying one just to have it. Somebody else tell me your thoughts on this.

Ford did away with them right around Job 2 of MY04 as they were found not to be a necessity and ultimately as a cost savings. No harm in installing one if you so choose...

I kinda like the idea of it myself, especially the painting of the Ford logo. I thought that looked pretty cool. I just haven't bought one yet because I didn't really see the necessity in it either, and have plenty of other more useful things to spend my "mad money" on.

The other reason I hadn't pulled the trigger yet was because I couldn't seem to get an answer on the definitive part numbers, especially for the grommets to install it.
