I am replacing the front piece that runs from fender to fender that the rad saddles mount off of on my 1992 F150. It is completel rusted out. The original body mounts are rotted. I have checked the local wreckers and the ones there are not much better. I have purchased the new lower mounts from Ford but the upper ones are almost $140.00 each from Ford. Any of the after markets in this area (Ontario) do not deal with body mounts.
Does anyone have an idea for a cheap alternative? I can fabricate the washer and threaded sleeve for the center I just need a source or alternate idea for the large rubber bushing.
Someone else suggested a hockey puck but that is very dense. Has anyone else use this idea or have another idea?
