newbie needs help
hi recently bought an f-250 4/4 with the 460 engine to tow aa 7000# trailer. it cruises great on the highway in o/d but bogs down on the steep hills. any mods that can be done to improve torque without diving into the engine? also it has sat for about a month with the battery disconnected and when i tried to drive it todat it didnt want to shift, and when it did it was very hard and could not find a gear to stay in. also the speedo went haywire and then stopped working. the tranny showed full.my mechanical abilities stopped when computers took over vehicles. i would appreciate any insights and thanks for looking

wow 460 bog down you bwtter have a house in tow have you tuned it up? what did the plugs look like? do a compression test. and do you have a cel on?? if so you need to pull the codes and look into it. get an owners manual cuz you can check all those comp controled devices. what year is it??
