...First off I'm going to come clean and save the guessing; When it comes to vehicles I'm an idiot.
Being said, I noticed that under my odometer I noticed a 4x4 light(not on) and so I looked around suggesting there is a button to engage the 4 wheeled action much like quad runners instead of the dodge stick use. But can't seem to find a button. Is it a lie?
By the way my new truck is a F150 XLT ranger.
Thanks,
Xain

What makes you say they are automatic? Are there black levers near the gas pedal? What year F150? You just buy this truck?
...Ment' to mention that it's a '95.
All that I see is my Gas, brake, clutch and E. brake pedals. No levers besides the E. brake release.
Also, yea I did aquire this truck today.
Thanks,
Xain
Some of those trucks have an option for electronic 4wd. There will be 2 buttons on the dash. One will say 4x4, and one will say Low Range.
It is also possible that the dash and indicators are the same between 2 and 4wd's, or it has been changed at one time. The indicator is there, but it isn't hooked up to anything?
well you can alway just look under the front of the truck and if theres a diferential then its a 4x4. Most car manufacturers use the same dash components in a 4x2 or a 4x4, just in a 4x2 the 4x4 light will never come on.
