I have searched the site looking for an answer to this, but no go. (yet)
My question is this, why do the cooler manufacturers rate the gvw of their coolers, then want you to by a larger than needed?
Example:
Coolers rated for 25,000 gvw. show light duty hauling. By my figures, my F350 CC 4x4 @ 9,000 lbs. could haul a 16,000# trailer?
Does anyone here haul a 16,000 trailer?
Or loaded the truck at 12,000# could haul a 13,000# trailer?
That's alot of weight for an F350. So why do they sell models at 30,000 gvw and above?
I am confused, set me straight on this please.
