If it's not crucial i'd say ditch the cats but if you have to have one then the one you mentioned will work, preferably the shortest one. The rest of it looks good. Sorry i don't know much about Y pipes i have always gone with a true dual setup and if you heart isnt set on headers then I dont think you should worry about them. I dont see much to be gained by them and they can be trouble. Are you thinking just going single or did you want true duals? If so you may have to get 2 cats unless they make a cat with dual outlets (sorry, dont know anything about cats either I just cut them off). And i like exhausts that get dumped underneath the bed I think they sound better, but, they tend to make more noise in the cab. The bullet is a good muffler you should like it.
i was planning on doin 3in single but i figure for the money for cost of a y-pipe i could buy another cat and go dual do u think that the duals would be better or not? i always got the jist that duals are for big blocks im not worried about in cab noise just cost and sound outside
True duals is for anything that you want to sound good but either one will sound pretty good. I think generally dual exhaust sounds better. If you want noise at cheaper cost I would just say to straight pipe it out the back after the cat and put some big *** tips on it. I don't think it would be too bad in the cab but behing the pickup it would sound really neat. Also if you don't have to go with a bullet then you can get a muffler that has dual outlets and run dual exhaust from the muffler. Anything that we have talked about will sound a lot better than stock and if cost is an issue than the single setup might be what you want to go with because duals can get spendy. I spent over $500 on the system on my 95!
Sounds good to me but I like the sound of duals also, but like Mike said they are more expensive. If you do go with headers spend the extra money and get a quality set that way you won't have problems later.
