Thanks guys!

In spite of my inadvertent typo (Kenmore stereo instead of Kenwood, lol) -- you all (but one) answered my question professionally and quickly. We ended up purchasing the 98 Ranger XLT Supercab with KENWOOD stereo, lol, and are loving it thus far! We will probably be visiting this site often as we are former Chevy people, still adjusting to being "Ford tough." Thanks again!

It was the 4 cylinder. We took it on a 400 mile round-trip venture today. The trip included hills and curves, highway, city, and small country road traffic and conditions, and it did great!
