Stewart, Thanks for the input. I do want to upgrade the rear springs, so if I went with B code rears with the stock blocks, will it raise the rear enough to necessitate doing something with the front? I am not looking for a level stance, I am ok with a slight rake but do not want it looking like a hot rod all jacked up. Thanks again to all who have been patient in listening to my babble

That might work, but it really depends on how tired your front springs are.

You don't wanna replace the fronts, but I'm wondering how happy you'll be with new rear springs and tired, old front springs.

If I remember right the new springs I installed raised the rear of the truck about 1.5" over the stock oem junk that ford put in at the factory. I can take measurements for you to get a height, or some Picts if that helps.

I just put in B-codes and modded them somewhat. They brought rear up about 1.25", but I modded them. I took the second leaf from the bottom and put it on the B-codes and swapped out the spacers to use the thick ones. If you stuck in stock B-codes I think you would see about .75" lift. Of course that depends on how tired your stock springs are.

How much space do you have between the spring and the bumpstop up front? You might want to think about doing the springs. I didn't want to at first either, but it sure makes a difference. Just doing the front springs took a ton of body roll out. If I had the v10 I think I'd look closely at U-codes for the front. They would be a little softer and not quite as much lift. If you ever do the fronts please do not try new stock springs. I tried it and ended up close to .25" lower than the old springs! LOL Seems the current springs in Ford's stock are a little off. But I sure got good at swapping springs!

I don't know where you live, but if you can pick up springs in the cities check out Tousley Ford Parts Depot They have the best prices I've seen, and you don't need to pay shipping. Or, check out MN Spring & Suspension, all thier springs are made in the US and the price is pretty close to Ford.

Ask away with the questions, like Stewart said, there is so much info it can be overwhelming...I've been there.

Take it to Rocky Mount Spring & Suspension and have them Rearch them to exactly where you want and be done with it.

Yes. In get both. I have a 2000 RWD and have B codes from ATS and the RAS. I also have AirLift bags, but that’s another story. I wanted something equivalent to an F-350 suspension and Junior at ATS suggested that since I already had the RAS, to just swap out the rear springs for their B springs. You should have in the back of your mind that a similarly outfitted 2000 F-350 was app. 1,540 lbs. lighter than, at least what my Ex. And the fact that the original springs were rated somewhere BETWEEN the F-150 and F-250. My rear end is on the high side at rest, but it comes out just about even when loaded down. Guys at the Airstream dealership were surprised that the rear end just dropped an inch when hooked up.

We tow and look like this going down the road:
