Help with bronco alternator

I put a 351M in this 79 bronco I bought with no motor in it to begin with and the alternator on my engine is the type with a two prong plug and the origianl one just has 3 wires and a box on fender is there a way to convert it to the plug style alternator so I don't have to buy a new one and mess with brackets and stuff? Any help would be great thanks

You could do the 3g upgrade. That should take care of your issues but you may need a different alternator.

Ya it seems to be the thing to do but I'm on a tight budget and just need to get the thing running good so we can sell 06 f150 and have some money to play!

3G alternators at the JY are $10.00. Get one off an early-90's Taurus.
