Somebody recently bought a new F150 & they got a lower grill installed (I thought it was an OE piece). SEARCH hasn't located that post....Does anyone remember seeing it? I have an FX4 EB ordered & am interested. Please help?
The person posted a bunch of pictures of their new truck & initially, the picture of the grill cover was on another truck (red truck?) in the dealer's lot.
Hardware includes grill, brackets and backing strap, u-clips for the screws that insert into holes of the brackets and backing strap, 4 machine screws
Another view of hardware:

I know that my pics are not the best, but maybe it will give you an idea. The grill and hardware came with instructions and is very easy to install. Only thing I did was to snug up the screws to keep brackets from moving and to get everything lined up. Then I tightened all screws up.
Very good quality and I wasn't disappointed. Glad I bought this.
When I picked up my truck the past Saturday, I asked my sale rep about the bumper grill insert and if it would mess with the warranty any. He said that Ford hasn't made a determination on the possible lack of cooling, if there is any, that the insert may or may not cause. The basic message is these are new engine set ups and Ford is being careful upfront. They are not taking a stance either way on mods to the vehicle. This also applies to the muffler. I know people have been asking about that on the forum as well.

The only thing I didn't like is that they want you to drill holes and attach it to the plastic. I decided to fab a couple of brackets and attach it to the metal.
If you look at my photo gallery you can see my solution. all it is is three layers of black plastic gutter screen. most people don't even notice it at all, which is what i like best about it.

yes, get that Carriage Works one instead of the ebay knockoff junk. Comes with the brackets and installs in a few minutes. The finish holds up great too, almost 2.5 years on my current truck, also had them for 5 years on my old truck.
