I'm going to be done with my ford tractor soon. And hear in lies the qustion . The engine a rebuilt 1945 Ford gas engine 120 cid 4 cylinder. I'm woundering if just using Chevron Delo 15W-40 will make the engine last longer than using full Synthetic Mobil1 10w-30. I use Mobil1 10w-30 in all my vehicales and just woundering which oil would benefit the engine the best.
If the motor has the original style seals I'd skip the synthetic as the seals probably won't seal. If the motor is still open, we always coat the cylinder walls with STP before closing it up. That gummy junk will stay with the cylinders until the oil pressure dilutes it away.
