OK, call me stupid or maybe i've just been loking to hard. But where is the manual transmission fluid check in a 93 f-250. Cause i can't find, but i know there has to be fluid in the darn thing, lol.
Hi and welcome to FTE!
Never be afraid to ask a question. We've never beaten anyone yet.
To check to fluid level of your tranny you will need to get under the truck and look for a plug on the upper half of the tranny housing. It will resemble the drain plug on the oil pan. When you find it, remove and stick your finger in the hole. If you can feel fluid, the level is OK. If not, get a big rubber bulb syringe and squirt some in there.
Thanks, i figured that's how to do it. The reason I asked was because i have fluid leaking out of the bottom of the truck that apparently is a gear oil/hydraulic fluid of some kind. (clear or light brown, sweet tasting) and i have a 8 inch crack in a metal pate that is bolted to the front of my tranny. 93 f-250 7.3 diesel (no turbo)

I don't think I want to know how you know what it tastes like!
