replacement IDM numbers?
What numbers do I need to match up for a replacement? My IDM is a 110 is that all I need to match up? Its a 99 F350 6 spd. I am wanting to buy a couple of good used ones and put one on the truck and do the IDM mod on the other. The one on the truck right now is bad and keep it for a core. Run the good stock one then switch to the modded one to see if there is a difference in performance and fuel mileage.

You can run a 110v, or a 120v (slight upgrade) for that matter. Pretty much any any 7.3 IDM from early '99 up will work. The only thing that will be different is the resistance value needed depending on which voltage IDM you choose to mod.

I have a new (Reman I think) IDM for an'02 7.3. Bought it from Clay @ RiffRaff. I ran it for a day and it did not solve my problem so I put the old one back on. I would be happy to sell it to you and try and recoup some of my expenses involved with trying to resolve P0316 IDM codes problem. It turned out to need a new engine wiring harness.
