Don't forget the kids. I slept in a tent a lot as a kid, but when I go "camping" its to disappear, not rough it. If I want to rough it, then I will.

BTW to the op - Glad to hear your 5.4 did the job for you. I love mine so far, just don't be afraid to let it rev!

I'm sorry I did a whole career with the Army is some very harsh conditions...more than some will ever know.

Not gonna do that again unless WWIII hits.

THIS is "Big C" camping! SoCal high desert with endless miles of ugly road, a full load of horses, steak, beer, and a 2008 XL 5.4L to get you there & back. The truck pulls 6% I-8 grades at posted speeds without a problem. The automatic with grade braking is a huge plus to me with a heavy load in tow. I couldn't be happier with the truck. A load of THANKS go out to all our service men and women!
